Addressing a dire need in a DDD sample application Citerus, a Swedish consulting company, in collaboration with Eric Evans, went to work.
Peter Backlund of Citerus presented it to DDD-NYC at our August meeting. He just informed me that they tagged and packaged the first release candidate of the application. I am happy to say that our feedback was taken into account. Here is a quote from Peter's email: "... I've rearranged the package structure a little bit to make it more explicit ... so there is now both domain, application and ui subpackages. That's a reaction to the discussions we had at the presentation at Microsoft, so you could pass that on to the group." You can download the sources from Sourceforge. If you have any feedback (which will be very much appreciated!) regarding the application, please comment in this thread. Thanks! Vladimir Edited by Vladimir Gitlevich on Sep 28, 2008 11:45 AM |

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to the you know that we've reached offical 1.0 status for the sample application. It'll be announced in the Swedish DDD discussion group initially, and a little bit later on the international Yahoo discussion group. I will be monitoring this thread, so if you have any problems or questions, comment in this thread for now. The main discussion forum will probably be the Yahoo group, or perhaps a dedicated maling list/forum on Sourceforge. I also want to thank everyone who attended the meeting in August. I had a very good time, and like Vladimir pointed out, we've made a couple of changes basd on the feedback. Work continues in the trunk, where larger changes around asynchronous registration of handing events and aggregate updates will be made, among other things. The need for that was also underlined at our meeting. Cheers, Peter Backlund Citerus Uppsala, Sweden |
