Dear DDD-NYC members,

Below are the ground rules for the user groups that meet at Microsoft office that were sent to me by our host, Bill Zack. Please take a moment to read them. It is very important that we adhere to the rules so that we keep the privilege of meeting there.

Thank you very much,
Vladimir

-------------------------
As you all know there are quite a few user groups that meet at the New York Microsoft Customer Briefing Center. Both as user group leaders and as a Microsoft sponsors and supporters of these groups we appreciate the fact that user groups are allowed to meet here free of charge. Loosing this privilege would be devastating to the user group community in New York.

Recently there have been some issues with several user group members. Members have been registered for a specific meeting and engaged in what we will call meeting-hopping or traveling from meeting to meeting for which they are not registered. There have even been cases where user group members have attempted to enter both private partner and Microsoft internal only events being held at the Briefing Center.

In an effort to protect the rights of all the user groups that meet here, as well as protect Microsoft and the rights of their employees, we have new ground rules all user groups must help enforce going forward.

Anyone registered for a meeting must attend that meeting. If you are not registered for a meeting you will not be allowed to attend that meeting. No meeting-hopping. You will not be allowed to access the 6th floor more than 30 minutes prior to your meeting start time. Do not arrive hours before the meeting and loiter in the hallways or look for other interesting meetings to attend as you will be denied entry. Do not help yourself to any refreshments that are not specifically for your meeting. When the meeting is over please leave the building promptly.

Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated and will protect the use of the facility for all the user groups. Registrants who do not adhere to these rules, risk being denied access to future meetings.
