Really interesting talk, always thought-provoking subjects! Interesting and engaging conversation afterward.

Loved this meetup! Eric shared his insights, took questions from the floor and led an informal discussion. I believe we all learned something. I had to leave at 8:25 to catch my bus and it was still going strong.

Good discussion about Qi4j, a rather esoteric topic in application design. Some design methodologies, like Qi4j, are appropriate only in applications of some complexity. Qi4j is still in its formative stages, not ready for prime-time. Re-writing the Wikipedia page on Domain Driven Design will be an excellent group project.

Great presentation (thanks Raphael) on the Java framework Qi4j and how it ties into DDD, followed by a group discussion of the framework's merits.

My thanks to Vlad for another interesting meetup. The group decided to spend the time on ubiquitous language. Lots of active sharing and participation. Everyone got involved.

The first half was fantastic, however I think the second half was about an explanation of what an anti-corruption layer is and how to use it. This is something that is covered very well in the book.

A truly great discussion. Eric shared deep insights into doing DDD against an established codebase. The participation was great. Eric explained in just a few minutes how to sell DDD by contradiction which was just hilarious and very enlightening.

The discussion was awesome! We argued about diverging from the ubiquitous language and the ensuing discussion was just great. I learned a huge amount. Too bad I had to leave. Protect the domain model! We almost optimized a concept out of our domain model. Vlad caught us and it made for great fun.

Exercises were fantastic. The group discussion about legs seemed to go on too long. For future meetings I would prefer to see move hands on labs sprinkled in.

Not what was in the original invite, but this is one of the best meetups I've had in a while.

The discussion was great. I thought of a whole mess of questions to ask the domain experts - after I left the meeting though. ugh. very thought-provoking.

It was great to have Eric's thoughts about DDD from his more recent experiences. My concern is that he seems to restrict DDD to greenfield projects and isolated development. I think the DDD concepts are useful in any project even if you risk having imperfect concepts and boundaries.

The Domain Driven Design movie was well done and worth seeing. It also served as a springboard for discussion. I had to leave at 8:30 and it was still going strong. Unfortuneately there were some technical difficulties with audio equipment at the beginning that delayed the start.

Vlad brought those who did not attend the prior meeting up to speed so they could participate more fully in last night's meeting. We continued with the play/training session on bounded contexts started at our last meeting with Eric Evans. Vlad fielded several questions from attendees and there was valuable discussion of DDD including mapping from model to code, the importance of contexts, etc.
