Bruce Gordon from Domain Language (Eric Evans' company) will try out some new training material on us as beta/guinea pigs.

In June we had part one of a new module developed by Bruce and Eric Evans in which small groups improve the design and code of the domain layer of a simplified system. A range of the DDD patterns are applied. We'll break up into groups of 3 or 4 for brainstorming and groups of 2 for programming.

In July Bruce will present part two. Although it will be helpful if a core of people come to both meetings, if you can only come to one or the other you will still get value from the session.

Since these are programming exercises, it will help if you bring your laptops. One per team will be enough. The exercise code is in Java, so you will need to download and install the latest version of Eclipse IDE for Java Developers for your platform from Eclipse Downloads Page. And don't worry if Java is not your primary language - we should have enough Java people to pair up with.

You will need to RSVP by 5:00 p.m. of Tuesday, June 30th: due to the building security requirements, we will need to provide them with a list of attendees. Please bring a photo ID.

If your are a new member and your profile does not have your first and last name, please RSVP with your full name, otherwise we will not be able to add you to the security list and the building security will not let you enter the building.

This meeting is sponsored by Bill Zack @ Microsoft who kindly provided the space (thanks!!)
